V OpenArch Steering Committee (Archeon, Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands)

A reconstruction of a Roman house was the scene of the Steering Committee in Archeon which meant the closing activity of this 5th OpenArch conference.
Being this the halfway point of OpenArch project life, the coordinator took advantage to review what has been achieved so far and also the challenges we have to face in the immediate future. Indeed a lot of progress has been made but still more activities will be developed along 2013 to enhance the project and reach our objectives.
As usual, we devoted the first section of the conference to make an overall discussion of the WP status after coordinators presented the work made since our last meeting in Sweden (September 2012). Next confirmed activities open to staff exchange or experimental actions to take place before Albersdorf conference were presented (i.e Stone Age Market at Kierikki; Educational Days at Albersdorf; Structures workshop at the University of Exeter,…).
The project coordination matters were focused basically to inform about the recent changes that have happened in the MT structure and also in the partnership since the winter time.
The Financial aspects were also discussed with a presentation of the financial status which revolved around the external audits main findings and the budget revision.
The meeting closed with the presentation of the next OpenArch conferences in Albersdorf.
