Tuesday, 4 December, 2012
Responsible:
Manel Gómez
Number of Participants / Visitors / Audience:
130

The OAM Calafell was invited by the Regional Culture and Education Ministry of the Government of Extremadura and the Association of Cultural Managers of Extremadura to deliver a lecture in the framework of the Industrial and Creative Conferences that took place on December 3-4, 2012 in Mérida, the capital of Extremadura, whose archaeological ensemble was declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1993.

The organisers contacted OAM Calafell because they wanted examples of different EU projects related to cultural framework (cinema, theatre, archaeology,...) coordinated by Spanish organisations with the aim to explain their own experiences to the audience in the second day of the conferences named “ Opportunities for the Cultural and Creative Industries in Europe”. La Ciutadella Ibèrica de Calafell was one of the Culture Programme 2007-2013 examples selected, as coordinators of OpenArch.

Manel Gómez was the representative of La Ciutadella and OpenArch and he made a presentation focused on the experience OAM Calafell is having from the management point of view and also a review on the development of OpenArch since the beginning (development of the application, partner search,…) until the present days with a presentation of the current partnership, our meetings, activities, etc.

According to the organisation the conferences were very successful as they had a good number of participants and the lectures were very interesting. As for OpenArch, it was an excellent opportunity to make the project visible and let other culture agents know about our project. Definitely a nice work experience, with a fantastic atmosphere and organisation.
