New experimental roof in areas G and F ("The Amphorae House") of La Ciutadella Ibèrica of Calafell
One of the main challenges concerning management at La Ciutadella Ibèrica is the maintenance of the reconstructions. The climate conditions affect the structures so every year is necessary to plan a repair campaign.
The reconstructed roofs of buidings F and G of the archaeological site had to be repaired but we took the opportunity to redesign the roof pitches, theand the materials used in order to keep experimenting.
In May 2015, staff from Rocs were in charge of repairing the roofs according to the experimental approach and monitoring the archaeological data.
