More Stone Age: Outdoor area of the Stone Age Park expanded
The Land (Country) Schleswig-Holstein (within a program called Economic Future), the Stimulation Fund of the Metropolitan Region Hamburg and the municipality Albersdorf joined in a project to expand the outdoor area of thePark Ditmarschen. Over the years 2010 – 2012, several activities were executed to raise the quality of certain outdoor areas as well as to enhance the offer. Using scientific consultation, several new Stone Age houses were constructed as well as a ‘cult house’, a sacrificial site, a megalithic grave as if ‘under construction’ and a grave mound. All these are linked by means of a new pathway. So: discover the Stone Age once more! On 15 June 2012, the new expansions were festively taken into use.
