III Iberian Festival "Terra Ibèrica"
The third edition of the "Terra Ibèrica" (Iberian Land), a summer festival created for the dissemination of the Iberian world, had a big successs with over 800 visitors who came to La Ciutadella Ibèrica and the Celler de Cal Bolavà to attend the conferences and participate in many activities of thisthat year by year is growing little by little.
The 2012 concept was focused in a specific historical background: when the Romans arrived to the Iberian Peninsula in the context of the Second Punic War. The activities, for a wide range of public, revolved basically around this topic. Besides the conferences, workshops, guided tours,...this year's edition had a parallel gastronomic program where local restaurants offered dishes inspired by Iberianto their customers.
The closing of the Festival consisted in a night re-enactment show with the particpation of local and national re-enactment groups as well as local volunteers about the recreation of a battle between Romans, Carthaginians and Iberians.
The event had the participation of staff from OpenArch partner St Fagans (Wales) who actively participated in the preparation of the final show.
