St Fagans National History Museum gave a conference presentation on progress being made on their building of new roundhouses at St Fagans.

These roundhouses are being built in order to address several significant issues:

- Maintenance issues:
Previous roundhouses at St Fagans have been particularly difficult to maintain because of issues with damp.

- Accessibility issues:
Previous roundhouses at St Fagans have been difficult to manage because of poor visitor flow and poor disabled access.

- Staffing issues:
The sole member of staff in the old roundhouses was responsible for multiple buildings, which placed significant pressures on them.

Approaches being taken to address each of these issues were explored in front of the audience during the presentation.
