The OpenArch-project is divided in different thematic work packages (WP), where WP 4 is about the “Dialogue with skills”. On this conference at the Archaeological-Ecological Centre Albersdorf (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany) the main topic is “Stone in Prehistory”.

On September 24 we organise an international scientific conference about archaeological research and experiments; on September 25 there will be a practical workshop at the Archaeological Open-Air Museum, the “Stone Age Park Dithmarschen” with demonstrations and different activities regarding working with stones. At this public forum there will be time and space for intensive exchange of experiences and ideas. On September 26 an excursion on the traces of landscape and settlement history at the North Sea Coast is planned. We expect to publish the results of this conference in a proceedings.

Place of the conference:

  • Bürgerhaus Albersdorf (for presentations)

  • Steinzeitpark Albersdorf, Open-Air Museum (for practical demonstrations)
