Archaeological parks, museums and heritage centres, are a growing phenomenon with hundreds known across Europe alone. The majority are new institutions developing their own approaches to management, fund raising, visitor experience and sustainability.

This conference will bring together professionals, students and researchers concerned with these institutions to compare approaches and to consider the future direction of archaeological open-air museums across Europe.

As well as featuring roundtable and lecture sessions, the conference will also include a day at St Fagans National History Museum, exploring the site, its £21m redevelopment project and a Heritage Craft Festival and Ancient Technology event.
