OpenArch started with a "bang"
Submitted by EXARC on Thu, 27/01/2011 - 11:50

From January 24th to 28th the OpenArch project fired the starting shot in the Mediterranean town of Calafell. About 30 participants from 8 countries met for the first time for real to make a start with a five year project. All participants are professionally involved with archaeological open-air museums; they come from as far away Finland, Wales and Italy to mention a few. It was a new experience to learn to know each other.
The organisation prepared a very complete agenda with different activities and a detailed work plan with introductory speeches and several meetings which made possible that partners could meet each other in person and take the first decisions to start building up the planning of the project in this first stage called “Inception Phase”, which it was considered to be finished after the next meeting to be held in Borger (NL).
